Alice Aoraki Legal

Catherine began her career in the legal profession as a trainee lawyer in 1990. She travelled to London in 1997, spent the next six years exploring part of Europe and holding secretarial and administrative positions in the investment banking and insurance sectors. After returning to New Zealand, she worked as a legal secretary for 16 years and is now thrilled to be part of Aoraki`s legal team. Anna has been part of Aoraki`s legal team for 6 years. Anna starts at the front desk and earned her degree in Executive Legal Studies, which she earned in May 2021, and is now a registered legal framework. Anna has risen through the legal ranks by becoming Pauline`s legal assistant and, more recently, supporting the estate team in estate administration. Born and raised in Timaru, Pauline studied law, science and sports medicine at the University of Otago. She returned to Timaru after working as a legal advisor in Wellington and as a private practice in Australia, Invercargill and Waikato. Pauline enjoys working with clients towards a practical solution and complex or exceptional cases. Vicki has over 20 years of legal experience in all aspects of office and financial management.

Barbara joined Aoraki`s legal team in 2019 as General Counsel after working at a local law firm for over 11 years. Previously, Barbara had experience in managing real estate agencies. Barbara is also our office manager and keeps us on track with technology and IT. Barbara enjoys meeting new clients and guiding them in the successful sale and/or purchase of a property. Originally from South Africa, Tasmin worked as a legal advisor for 6 years, where she handled the administration of trusts and estates. She attended Nelson Mandela University, where she earned her law degree and an advanced degree in Trust and Estate Administration from Free State University. In 2019, she moved to New Zealand with her daughter. You will often see Emma walking around the bay during her lunch break.

She is a member of Rotary timaru. Catherine`s job is primarily to assign property rights, although Catherine also has experience in estates, trusts and wills. Helping clients achieve their goals fulfills them with great satisfaction. Mariejo grew up in the Philippines and graduated from the University of San Carlos in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations. She worked for the International Justice Mission for over 2 years before emigrating to New Zealand in 2017. Alice joined Aoraki Legal in 2020 and works in the areas of property rights, wills, permanent powers of attorney and trusts. In his spare time, he enjoys playing football, walking, reading the books of John Grisham and Alistair MacLean. He also follows Leeds United in the Premium League.

Emma is from Christchurch, where she worked in earthquake insurance law. She has a keen interest in science and health, which she developed through the BSc she completed at the University of Otago in 2011. An avid athlete, Emma followed her talent through a sports scholarship to the UK, where she earned a Master of Laws degree and played netball in her Superleague competition. Pauline is a Trustee of the Mid-South Canterbury Trust Community Trust, a member of the South Canterbury Rugby Board, the South Canterbury Psychosocial Interagency Recovery Committee and Vice-Chair of the Tongan Society South Canterbury. She is an honorary lawyer at the Aoraki Migrant Centre. In her spare time, Mariejo enjoys hiking and playing badminton with her family and friends. In her spare time, Alice enjoys exploring New Zealand with her partner and spending time with family and friends. Coral is our legal assistant and anti-money laundering reporting officer.

She has a solid background in the banking sector and office management. Areas of law: labor law, dispute resolution, wills, estates and trusts, land law, retirement villages, relationship ownership, governance and decision-making, medical law In her spare time, she enjoys helping on a sheep farm, watching all sports and knitting. In her spare time, Barbara spends time with her elementary school-age son, who enjoys gardening and reading. They are involved in the Waimataitai School Brass Band and are members of the Pleasant Point Museum & Railway. Catherine also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
