The graduate program with NTMA is an amazing way to start your professional career. Every day, I was able to attend different committee meetings or review and draft legal contracts for the organization. I participated in many workshops and coachings with professionals and had the opportunity to continue my studies and be fully supported by the organization. As with most other universities, all students are required to complete a certain number of credits each year. You can gain hands-on work experience to earn it. In my first semester, I worked with public advocates in downtown St. Louis. These lawyers provide free criminal legal advice to indigent clients. NTMA strongly believes in the value that a diverse workforce brings to our business efforts. Aoife Gibson joined ISIF in June 2016 as Senior Legal Counsel and plays a key role in achieving ISIF`s objectives of growing Irish businesses and supporting regional development. During her tenure, she demonstrated her expertise in major transactions such as the acquisition of Green Isle Foods and Donegal Catch in 2019, supporting over a hundred jobs in Sligo and Kildare. Prior to joining ISIF, Gibson worked at Irish law firm McCann Fitzgerald, where she worked in the Corporate Finance Group. During my second semester, I worked with the Civil Legal Aid Centre of the Faculty of Law. The Centre, managed by the Faculty of Law, provided civil legal advice to members of the community. It was another memorable experience, as I had the opportunity to act as litigation guardian for children involved in separation and divorce proceedings and to act for veterans and their family members in seeking claims.
